Jaman Municipal holds dialogue on Violent Extremism



The Jaman South Municipal Office held its Police/Community Dialogue Session at Kwasibourkrom, in front of the chief palace. The dialogue session formed part of the European Union-sponsored, Preventing and Containing Violent Extremism Action Programme in the Northern Regions of Ghana.


The objective of the event was to create a platform for the Police Service and the community to defuse suspicion, and build trust in to order enhance police-community relations and confidence in the community.


Resource persons for the engagement were: Chief Inspector Mark Okyere of the Ghana Police and Mr Prince Asamoah of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly.
